Engineering News-Record (ENR) ranks S&B Engineers and Constructors (S&B) No. 5 in the petroleum sector on its 2020 Top 400 Contractors list. ENR also ranks S&B No. 47 for construction revenue, generating $1.8 billion in 2019, and No. 53 for new contracts in 2019, totaling $1.6 billion. ENR’s list ranks public and private companies by construction revenue in the previous year.
“We had a great year in 2019, which positioned S&B well to ride out these challenging times,” said David Taylor, chief operations officer at S&B Engineers and Constructors. “The industry recognition from ENR embodies the incredible efforts of our S&B family, especially as we navigate today’s market conditions amid COVID-19. I want to thank everyone for continuing to work hard.”
In 2019, the company kicked off the construction of Phillips 66’s SHP2, the largest NGL fractionation plant in the country. S&B also received its largest EPC project, Enterprise Products Partners PDH 2 and celebrated 15 million safe man-hours with Energy Transfer Partners on nine consecutive projects.
S&B climbed the rankings considerably in 2020. Last year, S&B was ranked No. 14 in the petroleum sector and No. 114 overall for construction revenue.
