S&B Secures QP-1 Certification to Apply Quality Protective Coatings

News

S&B AMPP field application of coatings complex structures certification certificate

S&B recently secured the QP-1 Certification by the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP). The AMPP certification assures S&B customers our company has the knowledge and capability to apply quality protective coatings on complex industrial and marine structures that can withstand the possible damage from any outside factors.

“This certification further exemplifies our commitment to quality control and compliance in the areas of safety, health, and environment as it relates to coatings application and corrosion mitigation,” said Scott Pope, S&B VP, Field Operations. “This certification validates S&B’s expertise and provides customers with another assurance that when they work with S&B, they can Consider It Done.”

Internationally recognized, the certification is considered the most comprehensive quality certification in the coatings industry. This certification verifies the quality control of application of coatings, management of materials, training of personnel through execution and testing requirements. S&B secured the certification through a full administrative audit as well and a second phase thorough field audit.

“This certification was a months-long effort led by Tim Siemek, S&B Soft Craft Area Operations Manager, with tremendous support from a variety of departments,” said Scott. “Tim’s expertise played a significant role, but he will be quick to tell you that it was a team effort.”

Thank you to everyone involved in the certification process. Your dedication to displaying S&B’s commitment to quality in every aspect of our work is applauded and appreciated.
