World Engineering Day is a chance to celebrate the people whose expertise keeps complicated projects moving forward. At S&B, it also highlights a core belief: that great engineering happens when teams communicate clearly, trust each other and share the same standards—no matter where they sit.

This year, we recognize the engineers in S&B’s India office, whose capabilities and leadership significantly strengthen our global project delivery model, allowing us to support customers around-the-clock. Their partnership enables smarter execution, stronger quality assurance and reliable outcomes for S&B customers.

Mechanical Design That Drives Project Certainty

Narendra Vikram – Mechanical Lead

With 18 years of experience, 12 of them at S&B, Narendra plays a central role in aligning mechanical engineering work across India and the U.S., providing our customers with reliable global engineering 24/7. Since stepping into his current leadership role in 2023, he has strengthened team alignment and driven high-level expectations for consistent application of standards across projects.

“Strong engineering is built on trust and clarity,” said Narendra. “When S&B’s teams across India and the U.S. work as one, we deliver solutions that customers can rely on—both in quality and schedule. What makes me proud is seeing our teams come together to deliver solutions that truly make a difference for our clients.”

Solutions That Improve Safety and Constructability

Lohith  – CSA Lead Engineer

With more than a decade at S&B, Lohith brings deep knowledge of U.S. codes, standards and constructability practices to his role at S&B. His guidance helps ensure our civil, structural and architectural designs are both safe and constructable. Lohith’s experience strengthens S&B’s ability to deliver designs that reduce construction risk and support dependable execution.

“Our responsibility is to deliver designs that are practical and safe,” Lohith said. “Understanding the codes and applying them correctly protects our customers’ investments and supports long-term performance.”

Process Engineering That Enhances Performance

Pragya Rashmi – Process Engineering Lead

With nearly 20 years of process engineering experience, 12 of them with S&B, Pragya has been a driving force within S&B’s India Process team since 2013. She played a pivotal role in the growth of process department and supporting projects executed between the U.S. and India offices. More recently, she has engaged on various Alliance Projects process scope, managing complex work packages and helping teams to deliver high quality standards in deliverables.

Under her mentorship, Noida process engineering team supporting Alliance projects has experienced significant growth, steadily expanding and capable of handling more complex and challenging project scopes.

Reliable Instrumentation and Controls

Gaurav Jindal – Manager, Instrumentation and Control Systems

Within major projects, Gaurav oversees automation and control solutions, maintaining strong technical ownership and clear oversight of deliverables. His focus on early risk identification and quality assurance supports predictable outcomes and engineering reliability. Through mentoring engineers and reinforcing clear expectations, Guarav has played an important part of helping ensure that automation systems remain reliable, safe and aligned with customer objectives.

“What inspires me the most is watching our team solve tough problems together,” said Gaurav. The gamut of challenges that we come across each day has been a very enriching and satisfying experience for me and any my team. When we deliver a system that performs exactly as our customers need it to, it reminds me why I chose this field. Looking forward to ever more complex challenges to collaborate on and solve. ”

Engineering Growth Through Digital Enablement

Vikram Chandra Singh – Engineer-CAD Support

As part of the CAD Support Group, where design software plays a key role in shaping S&B’s deliverables, Vikram enables consistent, scalable digital environments that support S&B’s global engineering teams.

One of Vikram most impactful contributions helped the automation and standardization of piping specifications. This implementation significantly reduced manual effort, improved accuracy, and ensured consistent data quality—key factors that help S&B deliver reliable engineering outputs at scale.

Aligned Engineering Across Locations

The continued growth of S&B’s Noida office reflects the team’s strength, delivering measurable value across mechanical, structural, process and control disciplines while advancing digital innovation.

“Our India team plays a critical role in our global execution strategy,” said Gary Moore, Director of S&B’s India office. “Their expertise, commitment to quality and collaborative approach enable us to deliver consistent results for our customers. We thank them and all our engineers for their commitment to integrated global delivery.”

On World Engineering Day, we are proud to recognize all engineers worldwide—including our S&B teams in India and across the U.S. Their dedication, technical expertise and shared commitment to excellence help us deliver safer, smarter and more reliable projects for our customers. Together, we are one global team—engineering solutions to keep the world moving ahead.
