Project Details

S&B was awarded an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) design package contract for renovations to the Space Launch System (SLS) being developed to send humans to asteroids and Mars.

Our design scope for the 20-story facility covered the restoration of electrical systems to current industry standards, including general purpose power receptacles and panels, lighting, obstruction lighting (FAA), grounding and lightning protection to a minimum of service life of 25 years.

Once completed, the SLS stage, consisting of four RS-25 rocket engines, was installed on the stand and tested.
