Zero Accidents

S & B’s President, James G. Slaughter, Jr., continually demonstrates his passion for zero accidents and the well-being of all S & B employees. 

Because of his dedication to promoting safety awareness, he is making this new five-minute safety message available to all. It captures the “essence of zero” and was developed by the National Academy of Construction.

A Look-Back at S & B’s Approach to Safety

We take pride in the fact that S & B has been a safety leader in our industry. A section of our corporate Mission Statement which reflects the company’s commitment reads: “Individual safety and design safety are viewed as moral issues at S & B. If a design or work practice is perceived to be unsafe, we do not proceed until the issue is resolved.” 

Mr. Slaughter communicates his passion for safety, not only to his employees, but also to our Owners and the entire construction industry.
