S & B’s Power Group

Power generation has been a key business segment of the S & B companies for more than 30 years.  Our power projects embody the full corporate commitment to total quality management and safety, both of which have earned S & B continual national recognition.  In the last few years, we have completed over 2500MWs of “F” and “G” class combustion turbine projects.
 
The current focus of our Power Division is to provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for combustion turbine, combined and simple cycle, projects, as well as environmental AQCS retrofit projects for existing coal plants.  S & B is actively enhancing our Total Quality Management program to meet the 10CFR50 Appendix B/ASME NQA-1 standard to allow us to pursue work in new nuclear power projects.
 
In addition, our subsidiary Ford, Bacon and Davis, LLC provides engineering services for industrial power facilities based on a wide range of boiler fuels from gas to solid waste fuels and renewable generation such as biomass, wind, and solar.
