S & B Craft Hiring Policies

All of our craftspeople possess the skills proven necessary to perform the work for which they are hired. All Journeyman crafts have successfully completed the written component of an approved skill assessment. The assessment verifies knowledge of the subject matter within a particular craft therefore the defined cut score for that craft must be met. Journeyman are also required to take NCCER Standardized Craft Training Program and we proudly recognize our employees' participation. All Structural and Combination pipe welders have been appropriately assessed while performing specific welds as outlined by each individual jobsite. 

All of our employees are physically fit for their work and pass a post-offer-of-employment physical exam, and/or physical agility test.

Employees who operate any construction equipment or company vehicles and have a valid driver's license must hold an acceptable driving record. Therefore, they have had no D.W.I./D.U.I. violations and no more than three (3) moving vehicle violations within the past three (3) years.

All of our employees have passed a post-offer-of employment drug test and alcohol breath test. Our workforce is drug-free and is required to submit to regular, random drug screenings.
