S&B is proud to share that Marissa Martinez, Quality and Process Improvement Coordinator, was given the Young Professional of the Year award by the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Greater Houston for her exceptional leadership and her commitment to professional development and industry growth. ABC recognized Martinez at an event on January 18.
"I'm honored to receive the ABC award and am energized to keep pushing boundaries in our industry," said Martinez. “This accolade reinforces my commitment to fostering growth and inclusivity in the construction and engineering industries. Thank you to S&B for the unwavering support.”
Martinez joined S&B in 2021. Today, her role spans quality and security. She also serves on S&B’s Young Professional executive board, where she encourages her colleagues to connect and network. She also plays a critical role on ABC’s Young Professionals Organization board, managing educational scholarships and student outreach efforts.

Marissa earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and is working on her Master of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston.
